Home of 'Adopt a Horse' Holiday Chamel Fields is a miniature horse and Dexter cattle stud where all guests can adopt a horse of their choice for the time of their stay. The holiday isas interactive as you chose; activities include helping feed all the animals twice a day, learning about and playing with your horses, feeding the chooks and collecting the eggs. The Heysen trail is across the road for walkers, there are lots of local birds to watch, local wineries are 15 minutes away in McLaren Vale, and the Prospect Hill Museum is just down the road. An excellent family holiday with as much or as little supervision as required. Only one family accommodated at a time. Accommodation is a cosy refurbished 1930's cottage with a potbelly stove,2 bedrooms and a spacious lounge/dining room.
