What is now the Echunga CFS was originally founded in 1928 by a group of local residents. Unfortunately there is little known about those early days. 
We are located in the Adelaide Hills, South Australia. Echunga CFS responds to many types of emergencies including House Fires, Factory and Industrial Fires, Road Accident Rescues, Wildfires, Flood and Storm Damage, Search and Rescue and animal rescues, We are a lot more diverse than just putting out fires!! We also provide public fire education to local community and school groups, awareness programs and displays at public relations events such as the Royal Adelaide Show.
